About the role.
The Kaiako works under the guidance of the Lead Kaiako to provide high quality care, learning, and supervision for all mokopuna, while supporting the participation and wellbeing of whanau. The Kaiako upholds the kaupapa, values, and aspirations of Te Kohanga Reo at all times and may also be required to fulfil the duties of the Lead Kaiako in their absence.

Job Requirements
• Fluency in te reo Maori, with strong knowledge of tikanga me nga ahuatanga Maori.
• Clear and current Police Vetting.
• Sound understanding of:
- Te Whariki a Te Kohanga Reo
- Te Kohanga Reo Kaupapa
- Te Korowai
- Te Tutohinga
- Te Ara Tuapae
• Current First Aid Certificate.
