Your key responsibilities will include: Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that respond to children's interests and learning styles Creating and maintaining detailed learning documentation through profile books and e-portfolios, tracking each child's progress and celebrating their achievements Designing inclusive, culturally responsive programs that reflect and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of children and families in your care Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including fellow teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic child development Building and maintaining strong relationships with whanau through regular communication, progress sharing, and collaborative goal-setting Adapting quickly to different center environments and contributing your expertise across various early childhood settings as needed

Job Requirements

NZQA approved qualification in early childhood teaching (diploma or degree level) Full registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand Current practicing certificate in good standing Demonstrated experience working with young children in diverse early childhood education settings Strong understanding of Te Whariki principles and their practical application Experience in curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation Demonstrated experience working with young children in diverse early childhood education settings Strong understanding of Te Whariki principles and their practical application Experience in curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation
