About the roles:

Bakery Manager As the Bakery Manager, you'll lead and shape a bakery that brings fresh energy and fresh-baked pride to every product. You'll take the lead - planning the day, guiding production, and making sure our shelves are filled with great-looking and great-tasting baked goods that our customers love. In this role, you'll: • Coach your team through busy shifts while setting high standards for quality, presentation, and consistency. • Create a positive, people-first environment where great food and great teamwork rise together. • Manage stock, reduce waste, and make smart decisions to keep things running smoothly. • Support team development and performance with clear expectations and day-to-day leadership. Bakery 2IC As the Bakery 2IC, you'll support your team stay focused and step up when your manager’s away. You'll be across the detail, ready to jump in wherever needed to keep the bakery running smoothly and the dough rolling. In this role, you'll: • Step in to lead the team when needed, keeping momentum and morale strong. • Support onboarding and training for new team members, helping them find their feet. • Support daily operations with a calm, team-first approach that helps the bakery stay productive and well-organised.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

Candidates must be willing to undergo a Ministry of Justice check and pass a pre-employment drug test. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a strong community focus and uphold family-oriented values.

We're after experienced leaders who bring energy, structure, and accountability to their teams. Ideally, you'll: • Have proven experience in a similar department leadership or 2IC role (preferably in a supermarket or FMCG setting) • Be confident managing staff, stock, suppliers, and compliance requirements. • Know how to create a team culture built on trust, performance, and service. • Be well-organised, approachable, and calm under pressure. • Understand the importance of food safety, stock control and customer expectations.

Days of work
Role will include working either a Saturday or Sunday shift & start dates will be staggered in the lead-up to October opening. (40 hours per week)
