There are 2 roles we are recruiting for Deli Manager and Deli 2IC About the role: Deli Manager As the Deli Manager, you'll lead and shape a delicatessen that's stacked with quality, care, and a generous serve of pride in every product. You'll take the lead - planning the day, managing prep and presentation, and making sure our cabinets are stocked with fresh, appealing products that meet customer expectations. In this role, you'll: • Coach your team through busy shifts while setting high standards for food safety, presentation, and service. • Create a positive, people-first environment where great food and great teamwork go hand in hand. • Manage stock, reduce waste, and make smart decisions to keep things running smoothly. • Build rosters and lead day-to-day operations to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. • About the role: Deli 2IC As the Deli 2IC, you'll be the steady support behind the scenes - helping the team stay focused and stepping up when your managers away. You'll be across the detail, ready to jump in wherever needed to keep the deli running smoothly and the service sizzling. In this role, you'll: • Step in to lead the team when needed, keeping momentum and morale strong. • Support daily operations with a calm, team-first approach that helps the deli stay productive and well-organised.
Job Requirements

Candidates must be willing to undergo a Ministry of Justice check and pass a pre-employment drug test. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a strong community focus and uphold family-oriented values. They are after experienced leaders who bring energy, structure, and accountability to their teams - whether you're stepping into the Manager role or backing them up as 2IC. Ideally, you'll: • Have proven experience in a similar department leadership or 2IC role (preferably in a supermarket or FMCG setting) • Be confident managing staff, stock, suppliers, and compliance requirements. • Know how to create a team culture built on trust, performance, and service. • Be well-organised, approachable, and calm under pressure. • Understand the importance of food safety, stock control and customer expectations.

- Roles will include working either a Saturday or Sunday shift & start dates will be staggered in the lead-up to October opening. (40 hours per week)
