Food Rescue & Warehouse Assistant

A Grenada North food rescue warehouse house is looking for a new member to join their team.

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a Food Rescue & Warehouse Assistant. This position involves both food rescue operations and warehouse duties, requiring an individual who is comfortable with physical work and able to contribute to our mission of supporting local communities.

Key Responsibilities: • Food Rescue Operations: o Sort and box donated food from local supermarkets, ensuring quality by checking 'use by' and 'best before' dates. o Weigh and document all food donations for reporting purposes. o Upload photos and updates to social media while on the road using a company-provided smartphone. o Assist with food and non-food donations, including clothing, furniture, and whiteware, at various drop-off points. • Warehouse Operations: o Sort, box, and store incoming donations for distribution to 90+ partner agencies. o Maintain warehouse cleanliness, including waste disposal and workspace organization. o Document donations and communicate with partner agencies regarding pick-up schedules.

• Must have a full driver’s license. • Ability to lift up to 20kg. • Effective communication skills to coordinate with partner agencies. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to drive work vehicles, including chiller trucks. • Must be able to pass MOJ. • Must be able to arrange own transport to go to work.
