Class 4 Logistics Support Operator

Daily transportation of feed and materials to the Akaroa farm and returning harvested salmon to the Wigram processing facility. You will also handle factory deliveries, assist with general site upkeep, and work to ensure the high standards of cleanliness, compliance and safety are maintained. You will be providing cover for the primary transport and freight logistics operator, ensuring business continuity during scheduled weekly transport runs and periods of leave. This is a hands-on role the requires exceptional organisational, time management, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in food safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service. • Load, unload and transport materials and feed to the Akaroa farm and return fish to the factory. • Wrap and load items for safe and compliant transportation. • Unload factory deliveries and handle general freight. • Deliver products and associated documentation to customers and distribution companies as required. • Oversee maintenance of vehicles, forklifts, and the factory yard area. • Maintain compliance with MPI, RMP, and workplace health and safety standards. • Carry out general site maintenance such as mowing lawns, weeding gardens, and other upkeep tasks. • Support stock control and dispatch functions.

• Class 4 NZ Driver’s licence. • Forklift endorsement. • Current OSH Certificate. • Experience in transport and logistics preferred. • Traffic management certificate an advantage. • A reliable, practical approach with a strong work ethic. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, safe workspaces. • Ability to work independently and take initiative. • A commitment to health, safety, and compliance.
