Packhouse Worker - Egg Farm

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Packhouse Worker to join our egg production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, grading, packing, and preparing eggs for distribution, ensuring all work meets food safety and quality standards. The farm is located 15mins outside of Bulls, so you must have reliable transport. Key responsibilities: •Egg Grading: Sort and grade eggs based on size and quality using manual and automated systems. •Packing: Pack eggs into cartons or trays according to specifications. •Quality Control: Inspect eggs for cracks, dirt, or other defects; remove damaged or low-quality eggs. •Labelling & Recording: Label packaging with date codes and product information; maintain accurate records of production and packaging. •Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP). •Machine Operation: Operate and monitor packhouse machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. •Stock Management: Assist in managing packaging materials and inventory. •Teamwork: Collaborate with other farm and Packhouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

•Previous experience in a Packhouse or farm environment (preferred but not essential). •Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20kg). •Good attention to detail and ability to work at a consistent pace. •Must have reliable transport as its 15mins out of Bulls •Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices. •Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays. •Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Machinery operation experience in a bonus
