Peer Support worker
About this job
We’re seeking a Peer Support Worker with lived experience of recovery to join our abuse counselling service. This role offers ongoing training within a supportive team. You'll walk alongside clients, offering hope, empathy, and practical support from a place of shared experience.
What You’ll Do:
-Support individuals affected by addiction and trauma through peer-based engagement
-Share personal recovery insights to inspire and empower clients
-Assist with group sessions, goal setting, and connection to services
-Maintain clear boundaries and accurate, respectful records
-Participate in team meetings, training, and service planning

Job Requirements
-Personal lived experience of addiction and recovery -In active recovery for 5 years or more -Peer Support training (or willingness to complete) -Full driver’s licence -Be able to pass drug test

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Timing to be discussed. (20 hours per week)
