Facilities and Maintenance Worker

An Otorohanga based employer is looking for a reliable, hands-on, Facilities & Maintenance Technician to handle the maintenance and servicing needs of our laundromats, swimming pools, properties and facilities. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a good problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities: Laundromat Maintenance: • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on commercial washers and dryers • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed • Ensure equipment is running efficiently and safely • Maintain clean and organized facilities

Pool Servicing: • Conduct regular water testing and chemical balancing • Clean and vacuum pool surfaces, areas and filters • Maintain pumps, heaters, robot and other pool-related equipment

Building Maintenance: • Perform general repairs and maintenance • Conduct regular inspections of property conditions • Carry out building upgrades and refurbishments • Water blasting and painting • Handle light HVAC tasks and preventative maintenance

Grounds keeping: • Perform regular mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing of lawns • Maintain flower beds, trees, shrubs, hedges and other landscaped areas • Remove weeds, debris, and litter from grounds • Operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment • Assist with seasonal tasks (leaf removal, sprayings, mulching, etc.)

• Must be reliable, hardworking and have some maintenance experience with a very strong work ethic. • Minimum of a full clean drivers license. • Must pass a drug test • Must pass MOJ check • Basic problem solving and time management skills
