Plumber's Assistant

Working on residential construction sites around Auckland this role involves working with plumbers and drainlayers. Duties include: • Assist plumbers with day-to-day plumbing work, including installations, maintenance, and repairs. • Dig holes and trenches for plumbing and drainage installations. • Assist with the relocation and installation of toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and other bathroom fixtures. • Transport and carry tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. • Measure, cut, and fit piping under supervision. • Operate basic hand and power tools as directed. • Help inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks and compliance. • Clean and maintain tools, work vehicles, and work areas. • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. • Communicate effectively with team members and clients when required. • Perform other general labour and plumbing support duties as required. Previous plumbing experience is essential and having a Class 2 truck licence and/or WTR endorsement would be an advantage. • Must have a Minimum of 1 year of plumbing experience in New Zealand. • The role involves HEAVY manual labour, so physical strength and stamina are essential. • Basic understanding of plumbing systems and tools. • Full driving licence and own vehicle. • It will be advantageous if you have experience operating earth-moving equipment like excavators or loaders. • It will be advantageous if you can drive a Class 2 Truck. • Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team. • Good time management and communication skills. • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
