Cook-Aged Care Facility

We are looking for a caring and reliable Cook to join our team at our aged care facility. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals and baked goods for our elderly residents, including those who have specific dietary needs. You’ll follow a set menu, ensure meals are served on time and at the correct temperature, and help create a warm and respectful mealtime environment. Some previous Commercial Kitchen experience is needed: on-the-job training and orientation will also be provided. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, disciplined, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work without constant supervision, and have a warm, respectful attitude toward the elderly. You must be reliable, punctual, and willing to follow routines and instructions.

-Have some previous Commercial Kitchen experience. -Be drug-free in order to pass testing. -Any convictions are to be disclosed and will be considered case by case- there will be a Police Vetting check carried out. -Min Restricted Licence and your OWN transport to reliably get to work. -Be physically fit as you'll be on your feet for the shift and lifting/ carrying supplies. -Willing and able to work a rotating roster- this includes weekends.

A Safe Food Handling Certificate is preferred, but we can support you in obtaining one if needed.
