About this job

We are currently looking for caring and compassionate individual's to provide dedicated weekend essential support, companionship, care and make a meaningful difference in the lives for our employer who provide Home Healthcare support to their clients.

Currently we are looking for someone that lives 10k or closer to Titirangi - West Auckland from 7 am to 9pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This organisation provides quality Home Healthcare and Individualised funding services for older adults and people living with disabilities. Other openings in West Auckland may become available in the future. About the Role:

Their support workers are part of a dedicated and well-supported team, assisting their clients to live as independently as possible in their homes with a range of different tasks that include:

Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities, including meal planning and preparation according to the clients dietary requirements or request, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while respecting the client's dignity and privacy. Home Management: Perform basic housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing, to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment. Medication Oversight: Monitoring, assisting, checking, observing or prompting the client when taking their medication Manual Handling: Assist clients with walking and transferring, ensuring their safety and comfort

About you

Experience: Previous Support Work experience is highly preferred but not essential. Full training can be provided. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients. Personality: A compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude, with a genuine desire to help others. Transportation: Own reliable Car to get to and from the client’s home. Driver License: Must have full or restricted drivers license to be considered for the role Working Rights: Be eligible to work in New Zealand What's in it for you
