Assistant Restaurant Manager

Ilam & Haswell Indian Restaurants are looking for Assistant Restaurant Managers to join their team to assist their Restaurant Managers.

Key Responsibilities: - Assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house - Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service is maintained - Help manage employee schedules, shift planning, and staff performance - Monitor food quality, presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations - Handle customer feedback and resolve any complaints in a professional manner - Support training and onboarding of new staff members - Help track inventory and order supplies when needed - Assist in cash handling, daily reconciliations, and reporting - Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotions to drive business - Act as the Manager on Duty when the Restaurant Manager is absent

- Good communications skills in English with customers and leadership skill with staff. - Have a relevant qualification or have at least one year of managerial experience working in an Indian restaurant. - Should have good knowledge of Indian cuisines and tradition. - Excellent knowledge of how service industry work. - Available to work during evenings, weekends, public holidays and split shifts. - Should know how to deal in difficult situations like staff shortage or dealing with customer complaints. - Able to provide written reference for the reference check. - Ideally to have LCQ certificate - Able to pass the MoJ checks.
