We’re looking for practical, reliable people to help out in a hop nursery in rural Tapawera, Tasman. This is an important role in preparing hop crowns for storage – ideal for anyone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work.
About the Job: You’ll be working in the nursery de-potting hop crowns from 2L pots filled with soil and placing them into apple bins for storage. This work is outdoors and can involve cold, frosty, or wet conditions, so you’ll need to come prepared. What You’ll Need: • Your own gumboots and warm clothing • We supply: Waterproof leggings and gloves • Own transport to and from the nursery • A good work ethic and the ability to work independently
This role suits someone who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty, can handle physical work in cool conditions, and works steadily and efficiently. • Work outdoors with a friendly, down-to-earth crew • Flexible hours to suit your morning routine or frost delays • Great short-term seasonal opportunity in a beautiful rural setting
