About this job

• The employees will travel to the different regions, when the work requires. • Daily tasks - Varied work, the work changes daily depending on the customers job requirements • Carry out or verify set out and levels • Excavate foundations & footings • Dispose of excavated soil • Place and compact graded hardfill • Apply damp proofing material (membrane and or emulsion) • Set up formwork for footings and or concrete floor • Carry out bending, tying, and placement of reinforcing mesh and steel in footings and or concrete floor • Set out piles under footings and or concrete floor • Set out stepped footings and or concrete floor • Place and compact concrete • Finish and cure concrete • Place piles and or concrete • Apply surface treatment to cut piles • Complete sub-floor to pile fixings and bracing • Set up construction joints • Set up fixings and cast in fixings • Any other services pertaining to foundation works • Set up support equipment for relocation of dwelling • To operate hydraulic jacking equipment to facilitate the onsite relocation, lifting or support of the dwelling • Installing and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood • Digging Holes for piles and posts • Carry out or verify set out and levels • Set up formwork for footings and or concrete floor • Erecting retaining walls Placement of concrete • All other services pertaining to foundation works The work is carried out at different Customers residential properties. The working week is generally Monday to Friday. The candidate must be available to work weekends when required. This can be due to the hours required to complete the work or there is often a delay caused due to the weather. The hours for the position are variable so the start and finish time varies most days, resulting in the hours worked changing every week. There is a minimum of 30 hours, but on occasions the hours worked can be a high at 50 to 60 hours. We require a candidate with their own transport and a full drivers’ licence

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates will need to be good with tools, fit, healthy, not afraid of hard labouring work or working in confined spaces, getting wet and dirty (not subject to claustrophobia) Strong and fit as the role is very labour intensive and entails heavy lifting. Must be punctual, reliable and able to work well as a team player or independently with instruction. Safety minded. Someone without health issues including a bad back, previous head injuries (not safety minded) injuries affecting being able to carry out heavy labouring, etc You will be working at Customers homes therefore they must be well presented, police, honest and ethical A current driving license with their own transport Must be prepared to travel and stay away from home for up to 5 night a week when required. Would be an advantage if the candidate had foundation experience Must be able to pass a Police Check. Be able to pass a Drug Test.

Days of work
Monday to Friday, occasional weekends. Hours per week is 30-60 hours when working weekend. (30 hours per week)
