Duty Manager

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Munster Inn bar, in Auckland CBD.

Key Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and maintain responsible service of alcohol. • Providing high-quality customer service, handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally. • Effective Leadership of the bar team to t deliver enjoyable environment for patrons and staff. • Train, motivate, and support team members to deliver excellent customer service. • Act as the on-duty licensed manager under the Alcohol Licensing Act. • Oversee cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, and end-of-day reconciliations. • Coordinate with security staff to ensure patron safety. • Report maintenance or operational issues to the venue manager promptly. • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld in accordance with New Zealand regulations.

This job offers at least 35 hours per week, requires flexibility for night shift and the pay rate is $27p/h

Requirements: • Must hold a current Manager’s Certificate under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a bar or hospitality supervisory role. • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Strong understanding of liquor licensing laws and responsible service practices. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. • Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments and resolve conflicts. • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
