Responsibility for day to day financial transactions via Xero. Managing and maintaining staff calendars diaries with particular focus on those of the Pou Hautu and the Taki Hauu Tahua. Managing and maintaining travel and accommodation bookings of tari kaimahi. Coordinating and managing event logistics and tari hui as directed by tari management. Ensuring that the tari operates effectively and efficiently on a daily basis by managing and maintaining tari resources e.g. stationery and associated supplies, developing work related relationships with approved suppliers and ensuring that purchases are fit for purpose and represent value for money. Supporting tari management in developing and maintaining a tari document management system to ensure records are readily accessible and well organised. Providing administrative support for some PPT projects. Contributing to a healthy workplace culture, supporting tari kaimahi and, as when directed by tari management Parihaka Trustees. When where appropriate, participating in community hui and activities and engaging with the Parihaka community.

Job Requirements

Experience or qualifications in finance and administration including using Xero or an equivalent accounting system. A sound understanding of and familiarity with Microsoft Office software. Good relationship building skills and a track record of engaging with a range of stakeholders. Sound judgement and an ability to adapt and collaborate. Ability to work in a team environment; an excellent team player. A full drivers license. An understanding of Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is desirable. Basic Te Reo would be an advantage but is not required for this role.
