Local employer seeking Orchard hand to join their team on a full-time basis. Orchard Hands are responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the orchard. This includes a range of tasks from pruning and thinning to picking and general maintenance. The role requires a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a diverse team to meet productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general orchard tasks such as pruning, tree training, thinning, and fruit picking - Support planting, harvesting, and tree husbandry practices - Assist in the repair and maintenance of orchard infrastructure (e.g., trellis, irrigation, machinery) - Participate in hail netting installation and maintenance - Maintain orchard hygiene and assist with pest and disease management - Report equipment breakdowns and carry out tasks as instructed by managers - Follow and promote health and safety procedures on site - Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and positive team collaboration

Job Requirements

- Willingness to perform all assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality - Punctual, reliable, and responsible in day-to-day duties - Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude - Flexible and available to work extended hours during peak seasons - Comfortable with outdoor work and physically demanding tasks - Able to work in a variety of weather conditions typical of orchard environments - Basic understanding of pesticides, fertilizers, and irrigation systems (preferred but not essential) - Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate respect for cultural diversity - Committed to following health and safety regulations at all times - Must have own reliable transportation to and from the worksite

Days of work
Monday - Sunday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (45 hours per week)
Pay Details
$23.65 - $27.00 (depending on experience & skill set)
