International Freight Operator

Core objectives include: • Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines and forwarders, suppliers and transport companies • Registering and processing of clients’ documents/shipments with high attention to detail including invoicing • Maintaining excellent customer service • Liaising with the managing director to provide admin support including conference preparations such as presentations and travel arrangements • Liaising with offshore staff to ensure accuracy and smooth operations The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the business.

Skills and experience required: 1 year of work experience in relation to international trade and supply chain partners Understanding of shipping documents and government compliance requirements. Experience in Microsoft Office and overall computer savvy. Experience with EDI CargoWise One software and/or other accounting software is preferred but not essential Basic understanding of accounts such as reading the receivables, payables, and reconciling will be an added advantage. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including high attention to detail is a must. Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well and communicate within the team, customers, agents, supplies and other parties. Multi-tasking abilities, including admin duties and operations.
