About this job

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the construction site, materials, tools and machinery. • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. • Prepare work sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding. • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other materials. • Assist carpenters, bricklayers, concreters, and other tradespeople. • Clean and maintain construction tools, machinery, and equipment. • Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and ramps. • Operate basic power tools and construction machinery under supervision. • Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and site instructions. • Assist in measuring, marking, and layout of construction materials. • Carry out general site clean-up duties during and after construction work.

Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Requirements

• Two years' experience on construction sites or level 4 Qualification or any degree - • Good understanding and ability to adhere to H&S standards • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and MOJ background check • Reliable and punctual • Good communicator who shows initiative • All applicants must have right to work in NZ

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, occasional weekend work (30 hours per week)
