Cakery Staff

A busy cake shop running a few outlets based in West Auckland are looking for a Cakery Staff. This position is for someone with experience in a commercial kitchen environment. It is a fast paced kitchen and we are often sold out daily so to be organized and to work under pressure is a required. A high level of presentation of the final product is a must.

The right applicant needs to have a good understanding and passion for cake making, baking, slices and sweet treats. Pastries would be an advantage but not necessary. They specialize in all things sweet so an understanding for treats is required.

Some FOH duties will be required when we get busy. All hands on deck.

You must be hard working, reliable, friendly manner with customers and be able to work unsupervised. You must be supportive to your work colleges and be a good team player. This is a position for an experienced cakery kitchen hand, so minimal training will be given. Mostly for operation systems etc.

Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

Making: breakfast pastries, decorating cupcakes and cabinet cakes. sauces and fillings cookies and royal icing cookies sweet treats product development

OH support and interaction with customers. Excellent communication skills and clear understanding of english required. Supporting other staff and stocking up cabinets during the shift.

Barista skills advantage but not necessary.

Stocktaking and stock management

General kitchen cleaning duties during your shift and at end of shift.

Maintain standards for Food and Health safety.

A good understanding of English is a must.
