Truck Driver Class 4

Take responsibility for your vehicle and notify the company of any service or maintenance needs. -Ensure it is roadworthy and well-maintained. -Perform daily oil and water checks before starting the engine. -Load and unload items safely to prevent damage. -Follow all safety procedures when handling items. -Ensure the load is secure and covered to avoid spills or damage. -Check and confirm loading documents. -Comply with weight limits and distribute loads evenly. -Follow assigned routes and time schedules; obey traffic laws and maintain a safe record. -Review job sheets before and after delivery to confirm order accuracy. -Report any issues affecting safe or timely delivery. -Keep your vehicle clean and tidy. -Prepare reports related to deliveries. -Report accidents or vehicle damage immediately and complete forms within 24 hours. -Comply fully with logbook requirements. -Hold a current, valid licence appropriate to the vehicle.

-Heavy Vehicle License (NZ Class 4, or higher, or Overseas Equivalent) -Two years relevant experience -Physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting and moving heavy items. -Ability to load and unload vehicle using lifting or tipping devices -Good understanding of dealing with “hot mix” -Good knowledge of applicable Health & Safety requirements and best practice (will be tested at interview) -Good communication skills due to regular interaction with clients, other drivers and the office -Clear police record -Willing to complete pre-employment and random drug testing -Willing to work shifts, including on weekends
