A great opportunity to learn and earn on the job and get into Cranes - operating and rigging (Riggers are responsible for safely setting up and controlling the movement of loads, which are usually suspended, over distance. You will operate a variety of hoisting devices and rigging equipment). No experience needed – just the can-do attitude to get into a new career. • You must feel comfortable working at heights • You will get Site Safe and Working at Heights ticket • You will learn theory and have practical experience on the yard • Course starts mid-June in Mt Roskill - you will be employed once the course is complete • The 10 week course will be in the class-room to begin, then in the yard for some practical experience. • Course hours are 7.00 am – 5.00 pm (however this may vary). 3 x 10 hour days • You need to be prepared to work (once you are employed) from 6.00 am until the job is done – approx. 55 hours/week and may include half day Saturday. • It’s all about the Attitude – you need to turn up, be loyal, honest and keen. • You will be working on any of their projects around Auckland – so preference is to have a car and Restricted/Full licence, public transport may be accepted. Ideal candidates will be physically fit and willing to upskill and carving out a pathways towards ongoing employment.
