Truck Driver

Kelston based transportation business is on the hunt for an experienced class 5 Truck Driver. Responsibilities include:

• You would need to routinely check your truck, weigh the truck before and after it is loaded, supervise or help with loading the truck. • Check the condition of the load and that it is secure. • Follow correct safety procedures and keep records of, and check invoices for, goods you will carry. • You have to plan the best delivery route • Make deliveries or pick up goods and most importantly keep a logbook of the hours you work. • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures • Collect and verify delivery instructions • Report defects, accidents or violations Other details: Full time permanent employment with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week. - 2 years class 4 or 5 driving experience - Full class 4 or 5 licence with tipper truck and jack fork experience - Able to pass pre-employment drug test, Ministry of Justice check - Rostered shifts Monday to Sunday (rosters will be given a week ahead for planning)
