Sawmill Operator

THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for a Sawmill Operator to assist with our operations. Key duties include:

Operating Sawmill machinery/control panels and equipment Completing relevant documentation/systems Undertaking product grading/quality related tasks Assisting the team with other duties as required The days and hours worked are between Monday to Friday, 5.30am to 5.30pm with one RDO (Rostered Day Off), working 46 hours per week. An indicative pay range for this role is $24.32 - $28.46 depending on your skills and experience.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Ideally you will have:

Experience operating machinery in a relevant industry, is an advantage but ongoing training will be provided Experience undertaking manual/physical duties Sound written, numeracy and computer skills NZ Certificate in Solid Wood Manufacturing or equivalent, is an advantage You’ll also have a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to undertake work in a safe and efficient way to ensure our health and safety, quality standards and production requirements are met.
