Class 5 Truck Driver

A busy logistics company based in Invercargill is seeking a reliable and professional Class 5 Heavy Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Your will have 30+ hours per week, rostered between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, 7 days a week (including weekends) Key Responsibilities: • Deliver goods to various locations in accordance with scheduled routes and delivery times • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while adhering to road transport regulations • Safely operate Class 5 vehicles, always representing the company in a professional manner • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks; report maintenance or safety issues promptly • Load and unload goods securely to avoid damage during transit • Assist with safe vehicle positioning during loading/unloading • Accurately complete and maintain delivery documentation (e.g. dockets, manifests, logbooks) • Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff about any delays or issues • Obtain proof of delivery and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction • Address customer queries or complaints politely and escalate feedback appropriately • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle

Applicant requirements: • Must hold a valid Class 5 truck licence • Minimum of 1 year’s truck driving experience or a NZQF Level 2 qualification • Available to work weekends as part of a roster • Able to pass a Police Check – no criminal convictions • Physically fit and capable of manual handling, including securing loads with heavy chains and ties If you're a motivated driver who takes pride in your work and values professionalism on the road, we’d love to hear from you!
