Apple Pruner

We are currently seeking a couple of motivated and reliable Pruners to join our orchard team. If you enjoy working outdoors and have an eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities: • Prune apple trees using hand tools such as loppers, pruning shears, and saws • Remove dead, damaged, or overcrowded branches to shape the tree and improve sunlight penetration • Follow pruning guidelines specific to the apple variety and orchard layout • Clean and maintain pruning tools and equipment • Identify signs of disease, pests, or other tree health issues and report to supervisor • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times • Work efficiently to meet daily productivity goals

Previous experience in tree pruning or orchard work is preferred. Employer is after two experienced pruners and one inexperienced that may be trained up for permanent work later. Tools will be provided for this role.

To be successful in this role you must: • Previous experience in tree pruning or orchard work is preferred • Have your own transport • Minimum of a restricted licence • Must be able to pass MOJ and drug test • Comfortable working with ladders • Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day
