Healthcare Assistant
About this job
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide person-centered support to maximize resident independence. Nutritional assistance during meal serving, includes feeding when required. Assist with routine care such as showering, bathing, toileting, teeth cleaning, shaving, dressing, walking and other personal hygiene needs as directed in care plan.
Job Requirements
With at least NZQA level 2 certificate in Health Care/ Caregiver related studies or equivalent. Desire to work in Aged Care and specialized in the field of Dementia and Alzheimer's diseases and Mental Health. At least 6 months of previous experience in the care of the elderly or healthcare-related experience. Ability to adapt to change and to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills Caring and considerate attitude to care for the elderly. Effective Team Worker Flexible with working days and hours
