Relief Milker / Calf Rearer / Lambing Shepherds

Temp and casual positions (until May 2026) are available for Lambing Shepherds, Relief Dairy Milkers and Calf Rearing for an agency specialising in providing relief staff to the Agriculture Industry. Specific roles can be anywhere in Southland and will require applicants to be able to commute (some assistance with transport costs is available by way of fuel allowance) . For dairying roles we require experienced staff, with at least two years of practical experience. For calf rearing and lambing, prior experience is required but references are more important.
All applicants must be able to pass drug testing procedures. Consideration will be given to any applicant who is unable to pass an MOJ check however this will be with relevance to the position. A full NZ drivers licence, attention to detail and hygiene standards is essential.
Job Requirements
Applicant requirements: * two years of practical dairying experience for dairy roles - not a training position * two farming stockmanship references (dairy/beef/sheep/deer etc). * pass drug test * good personal hygiene * Pass police check, however this will be with relevance to the position. * able to do early starts, and turn up with great work ethic and attitude * participate in check in meetings and professional development * attend monthly meetings
