An exciting opportunity has been created with the most recent acquisition of dairy land in the Pendarves area to be converted to a 250ha RockitTM and Joli Apple Orchard. Growing on modern structures and utilizing innovative technology and modern systems to enhance productivity and sustainability across the orchard. This property is situated approximately 27 km (20 minutes) north east of Ashburton and 30 km from Rakaia.

We are looking for individuals with practical agricultural experience (or similar) to supervise and support a team during the orchard developmental phase.

This includes overseeing development activities such as structure, irrigation and hail netting installation are completed accurately and efficiently. As the orchard transitions into production these roles will shift to supervising staff in general orchard operations and guiding seasonal work activities.

The ideal candidates need to be • Reliable and hardworking and must be physically fit. • A Team player with a great attitude and willingness to get the job done. • An eye for detail. • Keeping accurate records of the data collected. • Capable of instructing a team of workers to carry out a given task is a timely and safe manner. • Must be very health and safety conscious aware, and ensure that the workers under them are also.
