Class 5 Truck Driver

We are seeking a committed and experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves the safe and timely transport of goods across the North Island, ensuring all deliveries are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities: • Load and unload goods (including hand unloading when required) • Ensure loads are safely secured and match manifest documentation • Transport and deliver goods according to planned routes and schedules • Conduct daily vehicle pre-checks (oil, water, fuel, tyres, air pressure, etc.) • Keep vehicle clean and carry out minor maintenance as needed • Complete logbooks accurately and submit on time • Report any delivery delays, maintenance issues, or incidents to dispatch/management • Inspect goods for damage and complete incident reports when necessary • Adhere to all road safety, traffic laws, and company safety procedures • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

Work is primarily Auckland-based, but deliveries are made across the North Island Overnight stays may be required depending on delivery routes Must be willing to work early mornings, Saturdays, and public holidays as needed Adherence to all standard operating procedures and company policies is essential

• Clean and current Class 5 NZ Driver Licence • Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening • No criminal convictions • Strong reversing skills and confident using Road Ranger gearbo • Sound knowledge of logbook requirements and Health & Safety practices • Mechanically minded is an advantage • Reliable, positive, and professional attitude • Strong time management and the ability to work unsupervised • Physically fit and able to work in challenging conditions (e.g. bad weather, traffic)
