We offer rotating shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Sleepover, and Wakeover.

You will provide one-on-one support with daily tasks like showering, dressing, toileting, and continence care—simple moments that build trust. Support includes spinal cord injury care such as tracheostomy, catheter, bowel care, and pressure area checks.

You'll assist clients with limited mobility using equipment like ceiling hoists, slide sheets, and transfer belts—ensuring safe, respectful transfers. You'll also administer medications accurately under guidance, with full documentation and an understanding of their purpose.

Managing behaviours of concern is part of the role—these may stem from pain, discomfort, or routine changes. You won't be alone: clear care plans, training, and ongoing support will be provided to ensure you feel confident in delivering safe, compassionate care.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 in Health and Wellbeing qualification or its equivalent from another country is beneficial but not necessary.

• Full NZ Driver's License

• A reliable vehicle of your own • A valid and current Basic First Aid Certificate is required. If you do not have one, you must provide evidence of a confirmed booking before starting employment.

• Candidates must be able to pass a Police Check or undergo vetting. To fast-track your application, simply request a copy of your recent Police Vetting Result from your current or past employer. This will help speed up your hiring process!

Additional Advantage: Experience supporting clients with spinal cord injuries and/or managing complex care and behaviours of concern is highly regarded.
