Casual Technician - Teat seal insertion and calf disbudding team. This role will be working in small teams carrying out veterinary technician work for dairy cows, heifers and calves. The main roles will be insertion of teat sealant and dry cow therapy into dairy cows and heifers. This work will be both outdoors working on a teat seal trailer and in dairy sheds. The teams will progress to calf disbudding, working in teams to sedate and disbud calves and administering appropriate vaccine and veterinary medicines as required. The teams will have ongoing work through until the end of September, on the job induction and training will be provided. Variable weekly hours with immediate start available.

Job Requirements

We are looking for reliable workers that can fit into a team. Applicants need to be able to take direction and have good attention to detail. We work to a high standard so our team members need to take pride in their work. Random drug testing applies while you will need transport to get to Carterton depot each day. Previous farming/animal handling experience is required.

Days of work
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm - hours each week can vary. (32 hours per week)
