• Starting salary: $60,512.12, increasing to $72,614.54 upon training completion and assessment, usually 12 months. • Location: Auckland - Otahuhu • Full training, mentoring • Closing date for applications Thursday 12 June • Start date: Induction on Friday, 29 August 2025 • Must be able to spend 4 weeks away from Auckland for the initial training (all paid) • An eight-day roster - two 12-hour day shifts, then two 12-hour night shifts, followed by four days off.

Job Requirements
We’re looking for calm, professional, quick-thinking communicators ready to thrive in a high-pressure, high-reward environment. You will be team-oriented, work constructively and cooperatively with others. You’ll have a strong customer focus, a resilient and positive mindset, and a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude. Ideally, you’ll bring experience in a communications centre or similar customer service environment. This role will require working shifts, so - flexibility and reliability are key to succeeding in this role.
What you'll do • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls • Dispatch appropriate emergency responses • Work closely with emergency services and government agencies • Operate in a tight-knit team on an 8-day roster

What you’ll bring • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills • Ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability • Accurate touch typing (minimum 45 wpm) • High computer literacy and solid NZ geographic knowledge • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays • Previous experience in a customer service, emergency, or multitasking role is an advantage • Must be able to provide details to us of people we can contact for two references • Full MOJ and Police check (this will be conducted by Fire and Emergency.
