Kiwifruit Orchard Supervisor

Kiwifruit contractor with orchards between Pongakawa and Katikati needs a person to • Manage the team which includes permanent as well as seasonal workforce, in all aspects as part of the job requirements. • Assist the Manager in running as per the budget ensuring maximize efficiency. • Ensure that successful seasonal horticultural activities lead to a top-quality product year after year. • Effectively managing and leading staff through compliance with company policies and procedures. • Assist the manager in training and leading orchard staff and contractors during the seasonal activities • Record and submit the timesheets for staff and manage working hours. • Assist in planning and prioritising workloads • Review staff performance and provide feedback to the manager.

Own vehicle and can pass pre-employment drug test Can work weekends • Relevant work experience is preferred, Strong time management skills • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and they will to practice this within their work. • The ability to lead and motivate a team of workers is crucial. • Being able to plan and prioritizing tasks, managing resources effectively, and ensuring operations runs smoothly. • Physically fit and able to work long hours in different weather conditions. • The candidate may occasionally be required to travel to nearby regions based on business needs.
