Roaster

We are searching for entry level Roasters to work both day and night shifts in Porirua! If you love quality chocolate, this may be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities • Starting roasters on time in the morning • Running roasters to schedule • Maintaining silo levels • Maintaining good time management, and smooth operation of the roasting stations • Preparation and cleanliness of equipment • General maintenance of roasters • Responsible for quality and consistency of products • Responsibility for and awareness of critical control points • Responsible for being organized and communicating with management and the Manufacturing Manager • Working in a hygienic manner and maintaining a hygienic environment • Turning up to work in a clean and presentable state suitable for working in a food manufacturing environment • Following all factory rules and procedures

All other duties as reasonably require by your People Leader.

The Roaster is vital in this to ensure our cocoa beans are roasted to perfection! A great Roaster must have sound knowledge of the ingredients, and the production process to ensure that correct maintenance and supervision of the roasting process is completed, resulting in the upmost quality.

What you’ll need: • Technical / Functional o Excellent time management o High attention to detail o Sense of urgency and ability to react quickly o Organised and proactive o Must have contactable references o Reliable transport is essential for this position, especially for night shifts. This is non-negotiable. Public transport, ride-share services (e.g., Uber), or bicycles will not be accepted as valid means of commuting for this role.

What you’ll bring: • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desired, with particular preference to experience in food manufacturing • Forklift license, desired but not mandatory
