Retail Assistant- Part Time Claudelands

We’re seeking a reliable and people-focused individual to join a high-performing retail team in Claudelands. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values strong relationships, and is confident working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

About the Role:

Part-time position, 20 hours per week, Wednesday to Saturday

A dynamic, customer-facing role that requires initiative, empathy, and adaptability

Once trained, you’ll work largely autonomously, especially during Saturday shifts where you will be sole charge

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a welcoming and well-organised shop floor

Deliver excellent customer service and maintain vigilance with loss prevention

Support and coordinate a team of volunteers, including managing break times and assisting where needed

Handle a range of daily tasks such as pricing, merchandising, cleaning, cash handling, and roster support

Fit seamlessly into a team of experienced and self-sufficient volunteers, providing backup and filling gaps as required

Calm, observant, and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities

Able to build strong, respectful relationships with people from all walks of life

Maturity and confidence to work independently and take responsibility, particularly on Saturdays

Receptive to feedback and committed to ongoing growth and development
