Supermarket Assistant(Grocery)

We are seeking reliable, motivated, enthusiastic people, for a Supermarket Assistant in Paraparaumu, who enjoy working in a busy supermarket.

Duties include:

Moving product from our storeroom into the shop (varies across ambient, chilled & frozen areas). Accurately displaying product, ensuring that shelves are full and faced up accordingly. Working to the FIFO method to ensure compliance with food safety standards and best practice guidelines. Assisting customers with their queries during operating hours. Maintaining the safety and well-being of yourself, the team, and our customers always. Assisting across other areas of the store as required

Requirement of the role:

• Good customer service and communication skills • Getting stock from the storeroom as required • Filling designated areas of the Grocery department • A bit of heavy lifting up to 20kg • Using ladders/pallet jacks/and trolleys. • Ensure to rotate stock by following store guidelines. • Always keep the department clean and tidy. • Efficiency in completing tasks. • Working in a team environment • This role is physical work and requires some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling pallets from the storeroom onto the retailer area for shelve filling.
