Located in Matakohe, we are a family farm operation. This position could well be suited to a proven herd manager, or a farm assistant ready to take the next step up!
Currently milking 430 autumn cows through a 60 bale rotary with auto cup removers and in shed feeders. We have a feed pad and run a fodder crop/re-grassing program. All maize is grown off platform. Typical on farm staff is 3.
Halter is used for both geo fencing and animal/herd health. Animal health is paramount to the role, no exceptions.
Single rotation - calving 6 on 1 off. Will go to 12 on 2 off in October out of calving.
Large home in great condition is available with potential for relief milking's for a partner Strictly no dogs, 1 cat is ok.
Would prefer a full drivers licence. However restricted is a possibility but would need to be able to sit your full licence. Criminal convictions will be considered on a case by case basis. Charges involving theft, fraud, violence and assaults, and manufacturing of or distributing illicit drugs, will not be considered.
Monthly pay cycle paid in the first week of the month.

Non smokers preferred which includes vaping Need a good level of fitness Reliable Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required + randoms.
