About this job
As a Regional Data Collection Specialist, you’ll work within frontline teams to engage with Aotearoa’s diverse communities and support data collection through respondents’ preferred channels. The focus is on delivering a seamless, safe, and respectful experience that builds trust and values participants’ contributions.
This role is primarily face-to-face in the community and involves frequent local travel, walking, and driving. You’ll also flex into phone and email-based work when required. The position offers a dynamic, flexible work environment with varied hours (Monday to Sunday, mornings through evenings), and a blend of tasks that keep the work stimulating.
If your application is successful, you will be required to attend a mandatory induction training in person. This training will take place over one week, from 28 Jul - 1 August 2025, in Auckland. Please note that your application will not progress if you are unable to commit to these dates.
We have two positions going: 1 - Permanent position 1- Fixed term to August 12th 2026
Job Requirements
Key Requirements: -At least 2 years’ experience in customer service or a similar role -Confident using everyday office technology (laptop/tablet, Microsoft Suite, online communication tools) -Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills -Able to work independently and manage time well -Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends -Reliable internet, a Full NZ driver’s licence, and an insured, roadworthy vehicle -Must be able to pass a MoJ check -Reliable at Home Wifi – Required as work is remote. We will set you up to work from home, and provide you with the equipment, training, and on-going support you need to succeed and remain safe while carrying out your work.
Desirable: -Knowledge of local areas and connections to social, cultural, or business groups
