Dispatch Coordinator

Textile Mill in Napier seeking a physically fit and motivated person to run Dispatch/ Inwards good area. You will also provide assistance to the Production, Plant and Dyehouse Managers who are responsible for the overall manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all product from the Mill to be dispatched is properly packaged and in good order • Ensure all packaged product for dispatch is accurately weighed and labelled with correct Ship To address • Prepare Packing Slip in Excel and Consignment Shipping Documents • Operate forklift to load pallets/boxes onto courier/delivery trucks, also unload fibre bales • Check all inwards packages with documents and distribute to correct area/recipient • Check and weigh all received fibre bales with documents to ensure correct weight/package/bale numbers • Complete Inwards Goods Receipt with all necessary information • Weigh and load fibre onto Blending Machine conveyor and ensure correct amount of lubricant is sprayed onto the batch • Operate, unload and clean the blending machine upon completion of process • Deliver yarn to Dye House • Assist in packing/operating and other areas as required

Experience in Inwards/Outwards Goods would be a bonus, however, if you are a quick learner with a strong work ethic, are able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, this could be the job for you.

• Be in good health and physically fit as heavy lifting is involved. • Have good verbal, numeracy and written communication skills • Basic computer and Excel ability • Demonstrate significant attention to detail and quality control • Able to follow set procedures and retain knowledge • Forklift License essential. • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and requests. • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
