Loss Prevention (security) officer

The Warehouse in Whakatane, New Zealand, is seeking a professional and vigilant Loss Prevention (Security) Officer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff while preventing theft and minimising losses.
Monitor store premises using surveillance systems and regular patrols Identify and apprehend shoplifters in accordance with company policies and legal requirements Conduct investigations into suspicious activities and prepare detailed incident reports Collaborate with store management to implement and improve loss prevention strategies Assist in training staff on security procedures and loss prevention techniques Respond promptly to security alerts and emergency situations Maintain a visible presence to deter potential criminal activity Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Requirements
Competent Computer skills. Proficiency in operating surveillance systems and security equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role First aid certification (desirable) Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
