We are seeking a motivated Data Collection Specialist to join our team on a fixed-term contract from 14 July 2025 to 12 August 2026.
In this role, you’ll work within frontline teams to engage with Aotearoa’s diverse communities and support data collection through respondents’ preferred channels. The focus is on delivering a seamless, safe, and respectful experience that builds trust and values participants’ contributions.
This role is primarily face-to-face in the community and involves frequent local travel, walking, and driving within the Central/East Auckland region. You’ll also flex into phone and email-based work when required. The position offers a dynamic, flexible work environment with varied hours (Monday through Sunday, mornings through evenings), and a blend of tasks that keep the work stimulating. This role guarantees 37.5 hours across a fortnight.

• Engage with diverse communities to collect data • Support data collection through respondents’ preferred channels • Provide a seamless, safe, and respectful experience for participants • Conduct frequent local travel, walking, and driving • Utilise phone and email for data collection as needed.
Job Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
• At least 2 years’ experience in customer service or a similar role. • Confident using everyday office technology (laptop/tablet Microsoft Suite, online communication tools) • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills • Ability to work independently and manage time well • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends • Reliable internet, a full NZ driver’s licence, and an insured, roadworthy vehicle. • Knowledge of local areas and connections to social, cultural, or business groups (Desirable). • A genuine willingness to learn and grow with us • Transferable skills from all areas of life
You must be able to pass pre-screening checks such as: • MOJ check • Drug & Alcohol Test
