Site Worker

We are a small but dynamic commercial building maintenance company based in Christchurch, servicing clients across the South Island. Our work ranges from general maintenance to more specialized tasks like pest control and water blasting, with a strong focus on problem-solving and delivering tailored solutions for our diverse client base.

About the Role We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Site Worker to join our team. You’ll be working on a variety of jobs that require both independence and collaboration, with regular travel for out-of-town assignments (up to 1 week at a time). This is a great opportunity for someone who is practical, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities -Carry out general building and site maintenance -Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently -Assist in bird pest control installation (netting, spikes, gels) -Perform water blasting and deep cleaning tasks (including areas affected by bird waste) -Maintain a high standard of site cleanliness and safety -Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and the public -Travel with the team as needed for regional projects

Experience with the following: • With hand and power tools • Working at heights • Working on Elevated Work Platforms • Bird pest control (netting/spikes/gels) • Water Blasting • Cleaning (sometimes pretty nasty - bird poo) • Previous experience in building maintenance

- Pass an MOJ check -Valid driver’s licence, restricted / full (manual; clean record) -Ability to work well in a small team and follow instructions - Physically fit and comfortable with sometimes dirty or demanding work - Ability to remain calm under pressure - Willingness to travel out of town (up to a week at a time)
