Excavator Operators/Mobile Plant Operators

We are seeking to hire experienced hardworking and reliable Excavator Operators/Mobile Plant Operators.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining large machinery like excavators, bobcats, backhoes, primarily tasked with moving, placing and loading materials while adhering to strict safety standards, performing basic machine inspections, and ensuring proper equipment functionality.

• Acknowledge daily job orders received by text message. • Be at work on time, fit for work, and ready for your shift to commence. • Complete machinery pre-start checklist thoroughly, using Safe365 or equivalent electronic application (employee requires mobile phone). • Operate digger, loader, excavator and/or other heavy machinery of the company safely and efficiently as directed. • Perform loading and unloading of goods. • Manoeuvre heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, follow signals, ensure vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. • Adhere to workplace health and safety policies, regulations and compliance. • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the immediate superior to facilitate prompt correction or reporting. • Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work.

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience operating a excavator and mobile plants. Must hold a full class 4 driver licence with WTR endorsements. Must be able to pass a MOJ check and drug test.
