About this job

We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Assistant Baker to help with daily baking tasks and keep our ingredient and supply areas organised. This role is perfect for someone who has some baking experience, is well-organised, and physically fit. You’ll be part of a small team working to keep our bakery clean, efficient, and running smoothly.

Baking Responsibilities: -Help prepare dough, bread, pastries, and other baked goods -Use bakery equipment like mixers, ovens, and proofers -Check baking times, temperatures, and portion sizes for quality -Follow all food safety and hygiene rules -Help clean baking tools and keep the workspace tidy

Stock & Inventory Responsibilities: -Receive and unpack deliveries (flour, sugar, packaging, etc.) -Keep track of stock and let the team know when supplies are low -Rotate stock using FIFO (first in, first out) method -Keep dry goods and fridge/freezer areas organised -Make sure store areas are clean and safe

Job Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in baking or commercial food preparation - Knowledge of basic baking processes and equipment - Physically fit – able to lift 20kg bags of flour and ingredients - Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings or weekends - Good communication and time management skills

Days of work
Mon to Fri 8am to 4 pm. 30 - 40 hours per week. (35 hours per week)
