Mini Van Driver

Katikati based employer is looking for experience drivers for their growing taxi business. The company provides a taxi service for locals and residents living rural. The preferred applicant needs to reside in Katikati area. Commuting destinations include, Tauranga, Hamilton and Auckland (Airport transfers). This is an ideal opportunity for Katikati and Waihi locals looking to semi-retire or supplement their income. Candidates will be available to work between a minimum of 20 - 25 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday work, evening and night-time passenger pick up / drop offs. You will also be available for on call work to cover staff absentee and last-minute passenger reservations. Duties include driving passengers to and from prearranged locations, assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles, assist with any luggage and ensure passengers reach their destination safely and on time. The successful applicants will hold a clean Full Class 1 Drivers Licence held for a minimum of 2 years & P Endorsement (assistance will be considered for the right person to obtain P Endorsement if not already obtained), ability to pass pre-employment drug test and Police vetting, have great driving skills and enjoy driving, friendly welcoming, patient personality, reliable, punctual and take pride in your appearance. Must have very good English and feels comfortable making conversation with strangers, elderly and regulars. Prepared to do courses like first Aid and wheelchair transportation.
