We are currently recruiting for Support Workers in New Plymouth to support people to remain active, safe, and independent in their own homes and communities.
What does a Support Worker do? Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or personal cares and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies. What the role offers: • Ongoing development and learning opportunities. We support you to achieve NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications. Training takes place during your first 2 – 4 weeks of employment and is a mix of practical training, online self-directed learning, and working with a buddy trainer. • A meaningful, life changing career with opportunities to make a real difference to people’s lives. •Wages will be between $23.50 and $29.10 depending on qualification. •Mileage is also subsidised. •$1.00 per hour extra in weekends •Exclusive Spark Mobile Plan

Job Requirements
• Experience supporting people with disabilities or health needs is advantageous but not necessary. A passion for helping people is more important than experience. • Have a licence – restricted or full • Own vehicle • No qualifications are necessary • Be transparent with any convictions etc. Police vetting is a requirement
- Days of work
- Mon to Fri with Alternate weekend work 7am to 12pm and 4pm to 8pm. Might have some work in between as well. (30 hours per week)
