We are New Zealand’s leading mega marine chandlery with the largest showroom in the ‘Southern Hemisphere’. We are open 7 days a week and sell the widest range of quality marine products on the market to a wide range of sailing/power boating/cruising and commercial customers nationwide and overseas. You will have the opportunity to gain work experience, utilise your people skills and connect with commercial and recreational marine boaties. Using your unique knowledge and own experiences to help customers with their boating projects, technical marine enquiries and chandlery purchases. No two days are the same and you will be able to enhance your sales skills and broaden your product knowledge, at the same time working in a fun team environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic boater and fisherman. Someone who is familiar with Microsoft based computers, Microsoft outlook and graphic design programs. Proficiency in Spanish would be an advantage as to engage with our tourist and holidaying customer base instore and online. To succeed in this role, you will need: - Customer service focused Reliable and Enthusiastic can-do approach to work Ability to work a flexible roster including some weekend days & some public holidays Physically unencumbered, able to stand on your feet all day Great communication skills and ability to work within a team environment Some of your tasks include, but are not limited to: Engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide guidance on suitable marine products, pricing, delivery options, warranties, and proper usage and maintenance. Handling instore and online transactions through various payment methods and generating accurate sales receipts or invoices. Supporting inventory control by monitoring stock levels, updating product records, and assisting with regular stocktakes. Organising merchandise on shelves or display and preparing purchased items for customer pickup or delivery through proper packing and wrapping. Maintaining the presentation of the showroom Use computer software to building instore signage and graphics. We offer ongoing onsite training for all areas and can provide extra training in your preferred/interested areas. Job Requirements

Proficiency in Spanish would be an advantage as to engage with our tourist and holidaying customer base instore and online. at least 6-12 months acceptable of Boating, Fishing or Marine experience
