Smoked Seafood Factory all rounder

A Smoked seafood processing and wholesaling operation based at Stoke. We supply a range of smoked seafood products – fish, pates, pies and chowders to supermarkets, delis and restaurants throughout NZ. All our products are hand made on site, fresh and made to order. We are looking for a person to cover a variety of roles in our Hot Smoked Seafood operation. This is not your standard factory position, the role is varied and multi-faceted, and there is lots of room to grow and develop your skill set. Some of the roles that we can see you performing are making pate, preparing orders for supermarkets to vacuum packing and helping in the making of pies and chowders. Cleaning areas of the factory is also a requirement, and you will need to have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices and requirements. We are an owner operated business employing a small team where staff are a high priority and are valued. You will need to be outgoing and energetic, meet various production deadlines and schedules and work in with other team members. Showing initiative and willing to share ideas and solve problems is always encouraged. The role may require sole unsupervised work. This is a permanent full time role offering 40+ hours. No weekend or evening work. Experience is not essential as we offer full on the job training but having the right can do attitude is. Immediate start.
